Starfell is a rambling 135-acre estate nestled in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains.  This beautiful setting in nature is a blank palette.  Rolling hills, hidden meadows, rustic trails, towering trees, a lookout vista, and open spaces mean the possibilities are endless for this park-like property.  Just bring your imagination.

Less than 2 hours from NYC, our location is close to a quaint village and ample shopping, but it is totally private and exclusive.  Turn onto a simple country road, and then through our main gate. You’ll wind your way up the foothills on a rugged but trusty road where you’ll come upon The Landing.

All trails lead to The Landing. This beautiful, open space is about six acres and surrounds a small, quaint pond.  Flooded in sunlight and bathed in moonlight, it’s the perfect spot for amazing.

Base Camp is part of The Landing.  If you want to host an overnight event, there are many places to pop up a tent — BYOT or we can source and set up for you.  We have firepits built with natural stone from the property situated around the camp, so you can find your spot and relax by the warm glow of a campfire.

Starfell boasts trails that make every part of this large property accessible so you don’t miss all the special spots.  Once through the gate and past our Farmer’s Cottage, the only thing you’ll be surrounded by is nature.  Come take the tour on our 4×4 side-by-side Mule named Eeyore.

We are currently in the process of renovating our Farmer’s Cottage, which was built in 1800.  This lovely home will have two large master bedrooms with ensuite baths, a full open kitchen with a bright dining nook, and a cozy living room with a gas fireplace.  It will be available to rent in the fall.

If you’re looking for a unique and special spot in nature to proclaim your love, we’ve got plenty.  From big and open, to small and intimate, it might be hard to pick a favorite — but we’re sure you will find just the right one! Bookings available beginning in the fall.

We’ve all been stuck inside for too long! Bring your performance to Starfell Landing and dance, sing and create beneath the sky.  There’s plenty of room for social distancing, whether in chairs or on blankets on the meadow.  This is the place for an unforgettable experience.

It has been an incredibly difficult year and communing with nature can be the kind of healing we need.  Celebrate life here, whether it be a beautiful memorial or a big-chill gathering of best friends.  There’s plenty of room to spread out and be mindful of each other’s space.

We love making things and we love Makers, that’s why we have our own mill.  We put fallen timber to good use.  We’re makers and we’re looking to meet anyone interesting in learning new things.

Host a yoga retreat and get back to nature.  If you want to stay onsite, go primitive, or we’ll source and set up yurts that will take your relaxation to a new level.  If you prefer to stay offsite, we’ve partnered with local Airbnb’s.
